Hey all!  I'm from Long Beach, LOVE LOVE LOVE Central Cali, and wanted to have my bachelorette party in Santa Barbara.  I was thinking of wine tasting one day and a Country Bar one night...  Where is a cool spot where we could go???  We have no for sure plans yet, still up in the air.  Any suggestions from you guys from the area would be greatly appreciated!!!  Thanks a bundle!!!

    You can go up to wine country in Santa Ynez. There are tour companies that run out of SB that do all the driving for you or there are a ton of little B&Bs/smaller hotels near by. If you want to go to the actual wineries, they can be pretty spread out, so you will need a driver of some kind The town of Solvang has a lot of tasting rooms that are all walkable. There is Maverick Saloon in Santa Ynez (the town of Santa Barbara does not have any county bars). 

    If you want to stay in SB, there is the urban wine trail with tons and tons of tasting rooms all within 'stumbling distance' of each other. They are just off of lower State Street near the beach.  You can easily get a cab or walk back to your hotel depending on where you are staying. There are a ton of bars and clubs along/just off of State Street. The whole downtown area is really compact and very walkable and there are always tons of cabs around at the end of the night.

    Cool thanks, ya my girl is planning it for me, but she has a new baby, I just wanted to try to get some ideas to help her out...  We love stuff like this, I just wanted to get silly and drink and dance with all my girls...  this should be great help...  Thanks cjack
