The past two days we've been at 40 below zero. Todays warmed up to a lovely 34 below zero and temps are supposed to stay this way through the Thanksgiving weekend. Yesterday we were actually the coldest place on Earth.

And I am in such a wedding planning funk. I only have two months left and I'm magically hoping everything just works it self out cause I am done! I haven't even taken my dress in to get altered yet.  I've got almost everything done it's just the little details like music and cups I'm finding too annoying to think about right now, I'm sure I'll snap out of it.

Any one got any fun weekend plans?
We're just working on splitting fire wood and I have a ton of homework to work on.

    That, and the dark winters are why I could probably never live in AK.  I loved summers up there though!

    I think I got into a planning funk at the 2 month mark too.  You just get sick of it after awhile and have to take a break.

    No weekend plans here except grocery shopping - H's parents and nephew are coming out for Thanksgiving so I need to get stuff for TG dinner.

    That's on our list too for the weekend, go get everything for Thanksgiving. Last year we waited until the day before and had to go to like 4 different stores to find everything we needed.

    I'm at the point where I just can't wait for the wedding to be over. Between working full-time, going to school, planning the wedding and still trying to find time to be with FI I just feel like I'm getting pulled in so many directions.

    I think the summers are the only thing that keeps me up here well and the FI. We had the most gorgeous fall up here too this year, too bad it only lasted like a week.

    We have a Thanksgiving potluck with a few of our friends on Sunday. I'm making garlic red mashed taters for 20. Gotta run to the grocery store and pick up stuff for them and a few other things we're out of.

    I have 2 papers due on Tuesday, so I need to get to writing them. I just realized yesterday that I only have 4 days of classes before finals start, and then I freaked out. So much to get done before the semester ends.

    I hit a wedding planning funk in August/September (so yeah, 2 month mark) I was working 2 jobs, going to school, planing everything, GMIL was inviting people not on the guest list. I was tired and frustrated. The 1 month mark kicked my butt in gear to finish everything up. Take a week or two off. You've still got enough time to work on the minor details late. We didn't do our music until 2 weeks before the wedding.

    Jeez, I was upset about our 30-40 degree weather here the past couple days.  I don't think I can complain about our weather now!

    I have lots of NWR stuff going on this weekend.  My grandma has been in the hospital for a week, and not sure when she will be out, so I'm going to visit with her.  FI has been gone hunting all week, so I want to get the house cleaned before he gets home.  Tonight I am going to a Zumba event with some friends and then going to see a local band at a bar.  Tomorrow is my long awaited hair appointment to get rid of this ridiculous color I did myself.  Sunday I am watching my nephew and taking him to see Santa.    I am also going to try to squeeze in a few hours of work, so I can enjoy a four-day weekend next week.

    And I thought Wisconsin was bad!!!! I hate that it gets dark here at 4pm. Sooo dreary

    I'm in a little funk, too. I'm at just over 2 months. I think it'll get better :)

You're so lucky you only have 4 days left our finals don't start until December 14.  It'll be nice though cause I'll be a month out, no school, and I work for the university so work comes to like a stand still so I'll have plenty of time to get all those little wedding details taken care of. I was so stupid for not finishing my bachelors prefull-time work and pre-wedding!

    ETA: Camille I hear ya, I hate that it gets dark so early now! I think it's contributing to my funk. It doesn't get light til 10:00 then dark by 4:00 and we're still loosing daylight everyday.

    I am doing NOTHING this weekend, we've only been back from Vegas for 4 weeks and it has been nonstop. We had our AHR last weekend and I want to do is chill! We are off to Florida on Tuesday for Thanksgiving and my BF is getting married the Saturdy after. Don't worry you'll get out of your planning funk, but I bet the weather has alot to do with it, I know here when the weather is bad I just want to come home and get in my comfy clothes and chill.

    By 4 days, I ment of class, not actual days. Finals are Dec 8th - Dec 15th. I only have classes on Tues & Thurs.  and Step Arobics on Mon & Wed, but that barely counts as a class, and obviously has no final.
    This is my last semester, so yeah, I kind of did a "What was I thinking planning a wedding in the middle of my last semester?!" But oh well, it means after the holidays are over and before I've found a grownup job, DH & I can find the time to go on a honeymoon.

    Cold weather SUCKS!  We have been -30ish in wind chill here in Minnesota, but never air temp.  I'm sending you warm thoughts!!!  We're supposed to get our first official snow today.

    I'm in a funk, too (6 months today!).  However, I had some wedding nightmares last night that caused me to get back to it.  In my dream, I didn't have transportation and had to put everyone in cabs... hawkward.

    I'm sorry you're so stressed!  I understand... my FI is in school, I work full time, we're applying for his visa to become an American (scary, arduous process), I'm really busy with singing, etc.  It's a lot of pressure!  I can't wait to lounge by the pool in Vegas in 6 short months!
