Ice Cream Bar

We are looking for an ice cream bar for our wedding in downtown Chicago. Any ideas on where we can get fantastic (not Cold Stone or B and J) ice cream. I would LOVE something indigenous to the Chicago area. Thanks!!!

    I grew up eating Homers Ice Cream, it's really good! I believe they make their own ice cream and have a location in Wilmette. I think they have some other suburban locations as well.

    We love Bobtail ice cream!!

    Are you planning on kind of DIYing this?  Buying 3 gallons of ice cream (or whatever size) and then setting up toppings yourself?

    I looked into Paciugo gelato (they have two locations in the area).  Alas it didn't make it into our wedding - we opted for D'agostino's pizza for a late night snack instead!.  Paciugo's prciing was pretty reasonable if I recall...

    We are also considering having an ice cream sundae bar at our wedding too - I'm curious to see if other people have done this and how much it cost.

    I think Oberweis is a local company and their ice cream is delicious!

    This!  I know that they will do catering.  Our guests LOVED it!  Or try Capannari's - we had this catered in for work - it was sooo yummy!
