Wording Suggestions

Our wedding is on a Saturday night.  We are doing our rehearsal Thursday, and then having a "meet and greet" on Friday night.  I'm looking for some wording to put on the meet & greet event.  Something like "Join us on the eve of our wedding as we say goodbye to our singlehood" OR "Join us for our last night before we get hitched"  but I don't really love either of those.  ANY IDEAS??!?!??

Re: Wording Suggestions

  • Have you run it past everyone who are VIP's?  If i were in your bridal party, I would be at the rehearsal, but I would not be that the meet and greet.  You are tying up 3 evenings in a row there and that is an awful lot to ask.
  • Sorry but I think 3 events is a lot to ask of people. I too would skip the meet and greet.

Ours was similar: RD on Thursday, we hosted a casual BBQ Friday, and wedding Saturday. All events were optional, but our WP members did elect to attend all three. For the BBQ, we invited all wedding guests by including an enclosure card in the invitation packet. I think we worded it like "Bride and Groom's Picnic Dinner: Friday, July 6, 5:00, Such and such Park". FWIW, we did the BBQ because we weren't interested in a postwedding brunch. But I've known plenty of people who have a brunch, which is still a third event on the wedding weekend. Nobody's forced to attend anything.
