My DIY bouquets (PIP) Tell me what you think!

OK, so Sam's Club sells a 40-piece rose wedding collection for $700 ... or they sell the roses in bulk. About the same number of roses costs $150. I decided to try my own bouquet before even thinking about doing this, so I went to the grocery store and got a dozen roses, then watched a video online on how to do bouquets.

The real bouquets would have more flowers and be lavender and white, but this is a general idea. What do you think? Should I spend the extra money? My mom says I'll be too busy to do my flowers, but this took about 15 minutes.

I think you need some type of greenery or soothing like that at the bottom to cover the stems of the roses. Other than that I think it looks great.

How many bouquets are we talking about here and when do you plan on doing them?  You will have less time than you think the day of and the day before your wedding.  I DIY'd a lot of things for my wedding but I was more than happy to pay a florist to make simple bouquets and bouts.  Good thing too because I wouldn't have been able to find the time to make them - I had no down time for 48 hours when I was planning on a lot of relaxation time.

I think it looks great! I would just add some more flowers or "filler" flowers to make it bigger/fuller.

tldh - that's what my mom keeps saying. I'll have five bouquets to make and they'll be delivered the Friday before my Sunday wedding. I'm not DIY'ing anything else and my coordinator does all the setup and decorations for me. Two of my bridesmaids and my sister in law are all DIY queens, and they've all offered to help, so to me it seems possible ... maybe ...

As far as fullness goes, the bouquets will have about double what's in the picture. I would add a little greenery around each one most likely. Here's what I'm going for: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod1070284

I know it'll be extra work, but it'll save about $500 ... I'm still not sure what to do though!

I think it looks amazing as is. And, while you will be crazy busy, you'll have plenty of people to be able to help. I say save the money and go for it!

I think you did a fantastic job, and since you are already planning on more flowers and some greenery, I would say go for saving the $500!  That's a lot of money!

We did our own flowers after purchasing them online from Sams. They did take a while (over 2 days probably 7 hours) but it was totally worth it! Enlist some help from a friend or BM if they are willing!

I think it looks great! I agree with the girls who say it can be a little fuller.

    Good job!
