BM gifts

Hi Ladies,
What are you ladies giving your BMs?  I need some suggestions that are relatively reasonably priced.  Thanks :)

Re: BM gifts

  • What you should do is decide how much you are able to spend per attendant, and then shop like it's their birthday. They don't have to be the same thing, and nobody really wants anything that says "bridesmaid" on it, or your wedding date either. Maybe get good coffee beans and a reusable mug for your coffee nut friend, a Sephora gift card for your beauty product nut friend, a subscription to "In Style" or "Vogue" for the fashionista in the group, etc...

I have some stuff bought already but I've been browsing the other wedding boards and it seems like the gifts are extremely nice (coach things and watches etc).  So I'm just afraid that my BMs will think that I'm cheap :/
  • I'm knitting each of mine a small bag and will fill them with things tailored to each of my BMs like gift cards and other smaller items.

I have never known anyone that would get a Coach bag for a bridesmaid gift.  If that is in your budget then great, go for it.  Otherwise just determine your budget and just pick from within that.  I was thinking about a gift card for gas since they have to drive to so many event along with a bottle of wine.
  • I gave mine a nice pen, personalized stationery, and an emergency kit.

I haven't decided what I'm getting my BMs yet, but I really like the idea of jewelry. But each one would get a different thing. No like diamonds or gold or anything! Pearls, crystal, sterling silver, that kind of thing. It would be nice momento that doesn't exclusively relate to my wedding.

  • I am getting this:

    MOH/BMs- got them jewelry
MOH/BMs/Personal Attendant - got them each a tote bag (identical but very cute and can be reused and even used to carry shoes/supplies day of) that I am putting lotion, chapstick, kleenex, and a personalized note telling them what they mean to me and how grateful I am for them being in my life :)

I am also debating getting them each something personalized (budget pending).

  • I've purchased totes with their names on them.  I got them during one of the many sales on theknot for $12 after personalization.  I'm going to put personalized things in each tote.  Items in the bags will be between $20-30.

  • I got them nice bath & body products. I made them into baskets and added some nice small towels, as well.
  • I spend about 40 on each girl. Shop for them as if it was each of their birthdays.  What would normally spend for that?

I paided for their hair and make up to be doen for the wedding. Not b/c I wanted them to look a certian way but b/c I wanted them to feel pampered. They got to choose how they looked.

Then I got them pashiminas since I got married in Jan. I didn't want them to get cold.
  • I had a discount at COACH so I bought my girls these since the blue is similar to the dress color:

I'll also be buying some jewelry for the wedding day. I only have 3 BM's so I thought I could splurge a little more.

  • We have a vintage theme and I have a brooch bouquet, so I am making them brooches to wear. I also got them some bath and body things. I wanted to get them something that had a bit of a personal touch and I thought making something I love (brooches) while making it from something they like (the various earrings fit each of my BM personalities) was the way to go. The weddings I have been in I have gotten jewelery, which is nice because your BM wont have to purchase any, but honestly I have never used them since. Perhpas you could buy their shoes or pay to get their hair/make up done for the wedding.
