HELP! Can't reach my caterer, Smokin Man BBQ.

Has anyone heard of Smokin Man BBQ?  I hired him to do our August wedding in Emerald Isle (I'm in PA), and we have been trying to reach him for the past 2+ weeks with no success!  I'm starting to FREAK OUT!  :(

Have you been to their website/blog?

Have y'all already paid them a deposit or anything? If not, I would look into finding a new caterer...that would be way too much stress for the wedding day.

    Good luck!!

Yes, I've tried contacting thru the website, both e-mail addresses I have and both phone numbers.  We have already given them money and I really don't want to lose that, but I am also thinking I need to contact another caterer just in case.  It is already way too stressful!  I can't seem to find anyone else who does a BBQ reception where they grill right there, but at this point, I'll settle!  :(

What does your contract say about pre-event contact?  Is there something that says they need a final headcount by a certain time or anything?  Can you leave them a message along the lines of "per our contract, I'm calling regarding xyz, please call me back or I will regard this as a breach/unwilling to perform" ?

Have you tried contacting them on Facebook as well since they have that link on their site?

I didn't try facebook or twitter, mostly because they haven't been active on either one for so long.  As far as the contract, it's at home, but offhand i seem to recall that we only had to get them a final payment and headcount one week before the wedding.

I'd leave a "Hi, this is Marta, I'm calling about the payment for my August wedding.  I have a question about your policy and want to be sure there's no problem when I give you my money!  Please call me at ... so we can discuss payment." message.  Some vendors are more responsive when they think they're getting $.

Then when they call back you can just say you weren't sure of their policy or whatever since you "haven't been able to get in touch with them and what's their new contact information? and e-mail response policy? and while you're on the phone...?"
