We are trying to decide on wedding songs. What are you walking down the alisle too?? and what about your first dance?? looking for suggestions! Thank you!!
we are having this same issue to. the entire wedding party is walking to because you love me by celine deon and our first dance will be to if this wotld were mine by luther vandross. that may change as we are still working on it.
We're going to have a bagpiper for the ceremony. He'll probably pipe us in to Scotland the Brave. We've got a 5-piece band for the reception and we're not 100% on our first dance yet. Strong contenders are, 'Summer Samba' by Astrud Gilberto or 'I Only Have Eyes For You' by The Flamingos. Check out the band! http://www.loricarsillo.com/weddings/html/listen.html
Ugh! This is the one big thing that we haven't decided on. I feel ovewhelmed by it. The only thing we have chosen is our first dance song which will be "When you say nothing at all". We're doing the Ronan Keating version even though I like the country one better, but fiance does not like country.

I agree with your fiance!!<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" /> we have compromised though and will play country music at the reception. But i think that is why we are struggling with the important songs are tastes in music are very different. It is interesting to see what everyone else is doing!! Thank you for your responses.

Ooh...thanks for sharing. I can't listen to it now because my work computer is stupid (and I guess I should be working), but I will definitely listen when I get home. We have to make some decisions!
We're having a string trio for our ceremony and we'll be walking down the aisle to "Canon in D Major" by Pacabel. Our bridal party will enter to Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring". Our recessional is a string version the trio arranged of Alicia Keys' "No One" (we had to throw something non-traditional in there!)
For the reception we'll have our first dance to either Adele's version of "Make You Feel My Love" or Joshua Radin's "They Bring Me To You". We're having a hard time decidint between the two, they're both beautiful songs and we both love.
We are walking to "Kind and Generous" by Natalie Merchant and our recessional song is "Dreams" by the Cranberries. First dance "My dearest darling" by Etta James. I didn't want to do traditional instrumentals, although I am really digging the Vitamin String Quartet which has versions of just about every cool song under the sun.
Our processional is "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes and our recessional is "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Anything classical or expected makes me shudder...no offense to those who are doing it, it's just not my (or my fiancee's) style.
Our first dance is still up in the air, but as of now we are leaning towards "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star.
