Miel Patisserie

Has anyone ever gotten a hold of Willard? Because I've been calling pretty much every day for the past 2 weeks and the ppl that work there keep saying he's not in, he'll be in later or tomorrow and I never get him. I've left message and I don't get a call back. I would like to meet him beacuse Maria from Mums the Word recommended him but he's very hard to get a hold of! grrr! This is very frustrating!

    awe I got engaged at the one in Philly. But I know that the one in Philly is changing owners, so I dont know if they are both changing but I hope it stays the same because I want to do some epics there. But they have fabulous pastries there!

    I called 4 times and got the same thing... either he was not there or he was busy and I left a message.  Btw, the guy answering the phone isnt too pleasant either.  Anyway, after waiting 2 weeks to make contact or get a call back (which he did eventually call back... eventually) I moved on to the next vendor.  I cant be bothered with chasing someone around so they can make money.

    My venue uses them and two other bakeries for the cake included in our package, so I just called another vendor.  Their loss.

    Oh I know exactly who you are talking about! His name is Paul and he's always so miserable! I got a girl yesterday who was very pleasant but that guy Paul never says bye and just hangs up on me! I mean I have plenty of bakers lined up in the upcoming weeks but I just would like to meet him since he was recommended. I'm glad my venue doesn't work with him because I'd be even more frustrated.

    I just got a hold of Willard today and I am meeting with him tomorrow. yay! I'll let you girls know how it goes!

    So I finally met up with Willard yesterday and his cakes are amazing!!!! They are soooo good! He's a little pricey but he really knows what he's doing. Unlike other bakers I've seen so far, they only give you a few selections of cake (eg: pound, vanilla, chocolate). Willard had 4 different types of vanilla cake and 4 different types of chocolate cake.  He said sometimes different ingredients can be used or just the fact that they are added in a different order can affect how firm or soft the cake can be, which made a big difference.  He had the most unique flavors I've ever seen/tasted as of yet.  Our favorite was the vanilla cake with champagne peach and basil bavarian cream.  It sounds weird but it was so delicious!!! It was so light even my FI who does not like sweets loved it!  If we go with Miel Patisserie we are going to tweak it by havig orange cake with champagne peach and vanilla bavarian cream, kind of like a creamsicle. Mmmmm so yummy!!! Willard is hard to get a hold of but he does eventually call you back and it was sooo worth it!!
