I just wanted to write and share my experience so maybe I can save anyone else from what I went through!

So my friend and I show up, we're greeted, and the consultant shoots down my idea of trying on any memraids! She picks out one dress, then leaves me to pick out 4 more. I thought she was supposed to be helping me? So we go and pull a few dresses that we have no idea what style they are or anything...just anything that looks pretty.

So we go into the dressing room to try on the dresses after the consultant reunites with us. She leaves it up to us! She leaves the dressing room and tells my friend to help me in and out of the dresses. At this point, both of us just feel overwhlemed and as if the consultant does not care about the appointment! I was very disappointed in the service I received.

I did find a dress here that I planned on purchasing, but I went to European Bridal and Anna was a DOLL! I found the dress of my dreams and had a much better experience than I did at Bridal and Formal!

    I had a good experience there, but the dress quality ended up being bad. But B and F were good for me. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I'm glad you found them!

    I had a bad experience at Bridal & Formal for wedding dress shopping, but they were actually ok when we went bridesmaid dress shopping.  The main problem I had with their wedding dresses was that I got really overwhelmed with the vast number of dresses hanging on the racks, and my consultant was absolutely no help with picking dresses that fit my style & budget.  I found it nearly impossible to judge how a dress looked based on its appearance in a clear plastic garment bag.

    Bridesmaid dresses were a lot easier because I had a lot of bridesmaids to help me sort through the racks of dresses.  Also, B&F was willing to match any price on any dress... which saved us $50/dress in the end.

    I think it sounds liek you just had a bad consultant. I've been there a lot becaause I had a hard time finding a dress and this NEVER happened to me. They have always been really great to me. If you go back, ask for a different consultant. They really are great, but there are a few women I know aren't the best consultants. Good luck either way!

    I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I had a good experience when I went there and bought my dress from them. I'm only hoping it doesn't turn out to be a bad experience when it comes time for my dress to come in! I've heard that they can be a little late with getting a bride's dress in the shop. Good Luck to you though!

    I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at B&F. I didn't work with them for my wedding dress, but plan on getting my BM dresses from there. I hope I have a better experience! However, I'm glad you found the dress you love & everything worked out for you!

    I got my bridesmaid dresses from B&F, and didn't have any issues.  They left us alone to try on the dresses, but it's what we probably wanted to do anyway.  They even called me to tell me about a sale to get my girls 25% off!!  

    I have zero experience with their bridal department though.

    Thanks ladies. I hope anyone that does go here has a much better experience! I had the same problem as Julia. How in the world am I supposed to know what the dress looks like while it's still on the rack?
