    It would be possible to plan a wedding for next summer. Many of my friends had very short engagements and had lovely weddings. Its just a matter of being on top of things. However, you and your FI need to do what is best for the both of you. If you feel like other things are higher up on your priorities list right now then don't change that because you are feeling pressure from your FI's family.

    Is he in bad health or just old? If he is sick how long do they think he has? What has your FI said about this? Does he want to get married in the summer?

    Is your only concern that you don't have enough time? Because you really would have enough time to plan a wedding for next summer?
