    Names of the couple?         Sara and Matthew

    Wedding Date?
         July 24, 2011

    How old are you? Your FI?
         I am 30 and FI is 33

    Occupations and dream occupations of the couple?
         I am a Qualifications Specialist for a fortune 100 company. FI is a District Manager for a beverage company. Our dream is to own and operate our own restaurant.

    How long have you been dating?
       2 1/2 years :)

    Where did the you meet?
       We met at a seminar here in Atlanta

    What was your first impression of your FI?
        Haha! He knows this too... but it was that his pants pushed his love handles up. I stood behind him fake poking them to a co-worker. My first impressions were not that great (thought he was kind of dumb, typical male kinda guy), but I got to know him more and discovered he is incredible.

    Most exciting thing about wedding planning so far?
         That he wants to be apart of it. It was important to me that this is OUR day not MY day. He is on board with this so I am excited and thankful.

    Any wedding-related challenges yet?
         We still have a while to go til the big day so we haven't done too much. I think the biggest challenge will be getting people to come from out of town that we really want to be here. The economy has really hurt some friends BIG TIME.

    Have you gotten the dress yet? If so, pic please! If not, post some that you like!
       I don't have the dress picked out. I know I don't want strapless since thats what all brides seem to wear these days. No offence to the knotties who are or did. :)



    Any favorite vendors yet?
         Well, I know my photographer is going to be Kelly is Nice. LOVE her work.

    Colors or theme?
       We know we want orange...thats all we know. Ha!

    What are your top three wedding-related priorities?
        Right now it is deciding if we want indoors or outdoors, open bar or cash bar, and if we want it to be at night or during the day.

    Any children yet or furbabies?
          FI has a son who is 5, Jack. And we have a dog named Foo,  and a cat named Dawg .

    Kids at wedding?
          Just Jack and my nephew.

    Where are you honeymooning?
          We haven't decided. We are thinking of post-poning until winter since we are huge snow people.

    Favorite book?
          1984 by George Orwell. But I am not political or a conspiracy theory person. I just thought it was ahead of its time and right on the money.

    Favorite movie?
          Dazed and Confused. It's a CLASSIC!
    Favorite tv show?
          Law and Order. Any of the 3 franchises because I love them all.

    Favorite wedding dress designer?
         Uh, don't have one

    What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't?
         A famous chef making the food on site. That would be a dream come true.

    bbyckes, we want to have a well done americana menu. But our vision is incorporating dishes that are "ethnic", but are really imbedded in our culture like pizza, fried rice, and burritos. If it ever comes to fruition, we have a burrito that is so good, you'd steal from your mother to get one!

    I also LOL'd at the cat named DAWG! Would you two happen to be UGA fans?

    I love that your FI is all for being involved. Mine is too and it's great until he gets frustrated with my indecisiveness...lol.

    As for your color scheme, check out The Perfect Palette (google it), they have all types of beautiful inspiration boards already separated by colors. You could click on orange and you'll have all types of color schemes to view that incorporate orange. I love it.

    It was nice reading about you Sarah! I think your first impression of your FI is hilarious!!! I love it!

    And I am sooo anti-strapless too! I can't stand little tiny fat by my armpit! Other people look good in it but not me!  Don't worry, I found plenty of selection of non-strapless stuff!

    It was great to get to know you! I like this game eagles!

    Thank you ladies for such a warm responce. :)  And for the record, we are in no shape or form Georgia football fans in any shape size or form. We just thought having a cat named Dawg was HILARIOUS. And thank you for all the recs and relating to's. This was a great idea!

    There is nothing wrong with being a BULLDAWG fan! LOL...had my fingers crossed that there was another one of us in here. :) Nevertheless, still a great name for your cat.

    @ Sara - I see that you and your FI like to cook. What is your fave recipe and do you have one that you make at home that you wouldn't mind sharing with us? Something quick, simple, and tasty?

    Thank you, Yas! And Eagle, we love to make baked pork chops with red delicious apples and red onion baked on top. Nice spicy mustard and honey for flavor. It's soooooo yummy. We eat it once a week.
