    Davids Bridal is the most known.
    There are other places in GR but you have to call and make an appointment to try on dresses.

    I would have been had my ex and I gotten married..I purchased my dress from David's. Service was OK if you had an appointment, and they are on top of things as far as calling you to look at BM dresses and scheduling alterations.

    Alfred Angelo has gorgeous plus size dresses too, hit up their website for store locations. :)

    I am a plus size bride, but I live outside of Detroit, so that is where I went dress shopping.  I knew I didn't really want to get my dress at David's, so I called around to other bridal salons in the area and asked if they had a selection of larger size sample gowns that I could try on.  I would recommend doing the same thing in the GR area!

    Becker's Bridal in Fowler has a decent selection of plus size dresses and their service is excellent.

    Also, Bellisima Bridal Boutique in Albion has a nice selection.

    I bought my dress at Beckers Bridal also.  A good designer that blew other designers out of the water on how the dress fit and looked for plus size was Maggie Sottero.  So with that being said there is a shop in Muskegon called Carol's Bridal.  She has a larger selection of plus size Maggie Sottero dresses then any other shop's I visited in Grand Rapids.  I love Maggie dresses but that's just my opinion.  Bridal Gallery on 44th has a good selection of dresses but only 1 or 2 Maggie dresses and not so great with service.  If you want top notch service irregardless of your size go to Becker's.

    I bought my at Bridal Gallery, great service, nothing but positive reviews and you dont need an apointment.

    I like Becker's Bridal in Fowler (it's worth the drive!) and Kim Kriner's in GR. William from Becker's was very nice and I loved the unique dresses they have.

    I got mine from Bellisma in Albion, there is a nice selection and the girls there are super friendly and helpful.  Plus the whole upstairs is clearanced...it never hurts to have extra money to spend somewhere else.
