NWR: Sedro-Woolley Area or ***mgoss228

I need my knottie's help. Hopefully by the end of May we will have a place to live on the westside and FI will have his first real career job after college. One possibility is Sedro-Woolley. I would love to hear any information about SW or the area?

What do you love to do "way up north"?

Any help or comments is appreciated :)

    Alright, I'm trying to think of fun things to do "up North," but my mind is going blank.... I haven't lived in the area since summer of 2003.  I've never been the outdoorsy type, but I do know that there are great camping areas as you go "up river" (east of Mt. Vernon, Sedro-Woolley, along the Skagit River).

    Here are a couple of sites that might give you more info on Skagit Valley:

    A favorite Breakfast place of mine that is in Mt. Vernon:

    They also have a restaurant in La Conner, which is a super cute town:

    I would also check out the Skagit River Brewery in downtown Mt. Vernon:

    They have yummy, yummy beer (FI and I are beer snobs) and the brewery has a fun atmosphere (live music often, etc).  The food is delicious imo, and we are considering using them for catering the reception or RD.

    Thank you so much for racking your brain! I think FI went to that brewery and loved it while he was over interviewing. I have also heard that there are good camping places. FI is super outdoorsy so I think there is a lot to offer up there for us. It seems like there is the ocean, rivers, lakes, and mountians all in the area. I hope to get to try out the bakery for breakfast. Thanks again for the information and all the websites. It is just a big move and kinda far from FI parents (4hours) so we are trying to consider everything. :)
