veils

Hi ladies! Where did you buy your veil?  I refuse to pay more than $100 for tulle lol.  I'm looking for something very simple, maybe a little bit of edging or beading long the end.  I checked David's Bridal already and they didnt' have much at all.  Any suggestions would be appreciated! TIA!

I got mine from Stars in Avon which is where I got my dress. It was $125, over what you want to spend but not too bad. It's pretty, sheer ivory tulle and it has ribbon edging. I looked all over the place to see if I could find something less expensive and that was the best I found.

My mom is making mine for this reason, I just couldn't stomach the thought of paying that much for a piece of fabric that'll be worn once for an hour or two. I told her I just wanted something simple with a comb on it to go into my updo for the ceremony.

I feel the same way. I couldn't believe how expensive veils were when I first started dress shopping. My future SIL gave me her veil. She got married less than a year ago, it's in great shape and simple with some random pearls and rhinestones on it. She said I could use it if I wanted, cut it, change it, she didn't care, so I took her up on the offer. I've decided to only wear it for the ceremony and figured it could be my "something borrowed"

If you are want to buy a veil in person and not on the internet, try Mariella's Attic on the Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill.  It is the dscounted bridal store owned by Mariella Creations.  They have veils there under $100.

I second www.occanseydesigns.com, I got mine from there and it was exactly what I wanted, that I couldn't find anywhere else.  I just wanted a simple drop veil but with the comb attached.  Mine was $35 :)
