Cathedral Brides....

did you meet with the wedding coordinator there ahead of time?  I just feel out of the loop...lol.  How do I communicate to the wedding coordinator what are readings are going to be, the music, etcetera?  When Ive spoken with them it kind of just sounds like we show up....I need direction!

    Have you been in contact with the music coordinator Michele Starnes? She needs to know your music selections and has helped give me feedback so I don't feel so lost. I plan on bringing my program to the rehearsal for the coordinator and hope that's good enough! The last time I spoke to them it was about two months and they confirmed they had all of my paperwork completed and confirmed. No mention of letting them know about the readings.

    Same here! I thought it was just me. lol I have no idea, like you, how these things are supposed to be communicated. I haven't met with anyone either and my wedding is october 6. They are arranging a presider for me and the last they spoke with me about that was weeks ago, and I never heard back. I am like NO2012 in that i had an idea to bring everything to the rehearsal. Another option is to write a list of questions and leave them all on the answering machine. That's the closest thing to a dialogue we may get!

    I have talked to Kevin I think twice. He works in the evenings, so he says. I would advise just leaving a message and he will call you back.

    Definitely talk to the music person, she is super helpful. There are also websites which can help you pick readings.

    Did Michele suggest music for you?  I am a little lost as to what I should pick....we have our readings.  Also I am hoping our priest has married couples there before since he is not going to the rehearsal!!

    Michele will help you with your music selections and she has helped give me clarification on other parts of the Mass when I wasn't sure about something. She responds to emails very quickly.
