AW: I took the job!

I think I mentioned the other day that I got an offer for a position I interviewed for. I just accepted it today. I have mixed feelings about it because it's not what I want to do long term, I'm not even sure if it's something I want to do short term. I just got tired of waiting for the job I really wanted to come along. I really want to contribute financially & I think it was really starting to get to me. I start Aug. 30 so we'll see how it goes!

    Congrats Krystal!  If it is not what you are really looking for, at least you will be able to gain work experience which is truly beneficial.  And keep trying for the job that you really want--it will come around eventually.  Good luck on the 30th!

    Congrats Krystal! It might not be the ideal job, but it feels good to bring home a paycheck and just keep looking for something better long term. Plus, you get to meet new people which is always good in a new place!

    Congrats and good luck!

    I completely understand.  I had to have double knee surgery in 2007 and had to quit my job becuase they wouldn't cover it.  So I moved back home to Jersey where I still fell under my family's insurance.  I was home, unemployed for 3 months then moved back down here to be with FI and look for work.  I was down here for another 2 months without a job, and FI was so wonderful about everything!  My current job kind of fell into my lap, and while it wasn't exactly want I wanted to do, it was a job that paid well.  When I got my first paycheck, I took FI out and bought him an Xbox 360 as a thank you for busting his butt so much.  I've been here now 3 years and am looking for something that is more what I want to do long term.

    Congrats, that's awesome! I was in the same boat, and I actually ended up loving the job I took and it re-routed my career path a bit. :) So, you never know, but it's definitely a good feeling to have a job. I hope it goes well when you start next week!
