Accountability - Weekend

Alright, so I am just doing this for the whole weekend because things slow down here on the weekends.... lol

How was everyone's weekend? Stick to your good eating habits? Workout?

FI and I ate great this weekend, back onto our salad addiction so meals are usually fish or chicken with a fresh salad on the side lol Had the GREATEST dinner tonight - marinated salmon fillets with a salad that contained mixed greens, cranberries, walnuts, apples and a raspberry dressing.

Took yesterday off working out. Today we went to the gym and the treadmill and I were close friends again - Day 3 of Week 1 of C25K. Going great thus far! Onto week 2 next :)

Here's the weekend inspiration picture, a personal favourite:

Re: Accountability - Weekend

  • I had an awful weekend with food; I didn't eat a lot of "bad" stuff but I didn't eat the good stuff my body needs. I severely lacked protein and hydration, which made be feel really tired all weekend.
I did still have a great yoga class and a great circuit training session yesterday. I just feel it today. Hopefully I can pump my energy up by noon for my spin class.

  • Food wise, it was not good....I had a party friday night and there were lots of yummy things to snack on. I did get in good workouts saturday and sunday though, so I'm not going to beat myself up too much about it.

  • Mama - What do you think of your spin class? They offer 2 different ones at our gym and been debating trying one out...
  • Food-wise mine wasn't the greatest (woops).  I went out on Friday and Saturday FI and I had a lazy day and barely left the couch.  Yesterday I ran for 5.2 miles.  That ended up being a good thing since I went out for drinks later that night and ate a HUGE plate of extra cheesey, full of toppings, nachos.  I'm a little mad at myself for sliding pretty much the whole weekend BUT I do eat like that regularly and for me at least if I indulge every once in awhile I am way more likely to stay on track.
  • Food wise:
Saturday, I had 4 fried raviolis and 4 jalapeno poppers minced up to toddler size,
and I had a spinach, chicken and cheese roll. (no idea what its called)

Sunday:  Zucchini sticks minced up to toddler size, a few french fries and few sweet potato fries, while out on a bridesmaids lunch.

For dinner my grandfather made Portuguese soup, so I purred it up and had the amount of 2 bowls.

Workout wise:  If you count walking around an Expo for 3 hours, then that's pretty much all I did, except go shopping with my bridesmaids.
  • i didn't eat too great this weekend. we went to the dells with our good friends (dan's best man and his girlfriend). we went skiing and also went to an indoor waterpark (which a was a bust), but the skiing was a lot of fun. however, since we were out of town, we ate out a lot, and nothing in the dells is terribly healthy, so that wasn't so great.

we didn't get to go to the gym either (obviously) but we did ski all day saturday and we also played in the pool at our hotel that night. i used to be a cheerleader and in high school our friends would always stunt in the pool. well we did that for the first time since about 6 years ago, and it was really fun!

looking forward to get back on track this week. we finished our paint touchups and cleaned the floor in our office yesterday, which means we can move our furniture back in and set up our desks again. i'm looking forward to not having to do work on our house at night anymore.
    Happily married since 9/1/2012!

I love love love them! That being said, the instructor plays a big role in how great the class is. There are different versions too; RPM is my fave, but Road Drills is a good class too. Give a shot but keep in mind that you have to give is a few tries before you really get into it. And don't be discouraged if your butt feels like it's gonna fall off the next day lol - from the seat not the muscle work! lol
