The Royal Playa Del Carmen

I posted a few months ago about this all inclusive hotel.  I booked it for our honeymoon which is in 2 months.  Many of you said you will let me know what you thought about it when you got back.....so let's hear it!  What did you think?  Any advice?  Excursions to do?

    We went to Xel-Ha, Xcaret and Xplor and we loved all of them. Our favorites were Xel-Ha and Xplor though. I think Xcaret is a little too corporate for being a ecological park. All three of these places have lots of things to do and you could honestly spend the entire day at the places. It includes all you can eat food I believe and drinks.

    We also wanted to go down to Tulum but didn't end up making it. I heard a lot of people say that the Chicha-itzen (Spelled wrong sorry!) was a lot better than Tulum, but it is a longer trip to get there.

    I don't know about your specific resort but you will have a blast!

    I wasn't one of the one's that promised a report, but we went to Puerto Morelos (30 minutes from Cancun) 3 years ago and to Cancun 2 years ago.  We went to Chitzen Itza  - would not recommend it.  Way too hot and everything starts looking the same.  That said, part of our Chitzen Itza tour included a stop at a cenote (sink hold filled with water) - sooooo freakin fun, absolute best part of our trip!  I would also recommend going snorkeling on the reef near Puerto Morelos. I would skip the Isla Mujeres thing - it was sorta boring.
