We booked the Hilton for our guests, although I am only getting one comp room, not 3 (totally not cool!), and only if a certain number of guests book. One reason we picked there was the shuttle to and from the reception, and also their bar does stay open later (it seems to be the hotel in the area that has the latest hours…

At a friends wedding they rented school buses to transport guests from the Hotel to the reception site and then back to the hotel later at night. it wasn't a long ride so no one really cared that it was a school bus and it was a lot cheaper for everyone.

In regards to other hotels in the area, if you guest are willing to drive like 10 -15 min on 80 W there is Tannersville and there are so many hotels in the area including Mt Airy Casino and the crossings out let mall

Block your hotels in time for STDs to go out, if that info will be available to your guests. Check with Hilton hotels. They don't have the attrition (sp?) (the 80% of you pay thing) clauses from what I've discovered.

It depends upon the hotel. Some hotels let you block 15 rooms for no charge- just your guests pay when they book a room. Any rooms left when there's only 2 weeks or 3 weeks left until your wedding go back to the public, and anyone can rent them. Other hotels ask you to cover the price of the rooms, so if you reserve 15…

Maybe look into hotels in the area that you could get ready at / stay at the night of your wedding and have the ceremony there for ease's sake. We are doing a popcorn buffet with different kinds of gourmet popcorn ... pumped! Also plan on doing the hotel bags for guests staying at the hotel... this will be fun! Haven't started search for what all to include in those but that will be fun I think!
