   I went in to change my last name on my social security card today and dude didn't even ask for my ID or any other form of verification that I was the person listed on my marriage license before changing my name on my SS card. Guess I look trustworthy?

   I always do a double take any time I have to give my name, like for an appointment. "L! No wait, S! No, when did I make this appointment? I don't know who you have me down as." I haven't changed my name on my CCs yet, so I still get away with signing my maiden name.

   I am SO not used to my new name. It doesn't help that almost everyone calls me by my maiden name (did so even before I was married). Luckily, my signature was a scribble to begin with, so I just changed a scribbly "K" to a scribbly "M".

    My initials are staying the same. My name is fairly long, so I just sign everything EMR with some swashy shit and call it good. Changing all my vendor accounts is going to be a shitshow though uuuugh.
