   I just realized that M's daycare is only $144 less than our RENT. This makes me very sad.

   This is why I stay at home. Nothing I could do would earn enough money to cover childcare/ferrying.

   It amazes me to see the difference in cost among the different locations. And not just childcare. (Yes, I understand salaries differ as well)

   I'm so thrilled to not have to pay for childcare. My goodness. There would almost be no point to be working full time, let alone part time.

   I really need to move and have Taw watch M. We just found out that H's corporate discount with the dc she's in now doesn't go into effect until she's 2. I'm waiting on the infant care closer to us to open (it's at the local YMCA which has an established daycare but not infant care - still hasn't been inspected though) so I…

   Bmom and LS, if xH dropped dead and I never saw another child support payment or a life insurance payout, I could still pay for it on my own. Rent, utilities, daycare, diapers, everything. On my own. And I don't make a significant amount of money and I'm not doing anything specialized. I haven't finished my degree, either.…

   yikes. there's a fair sized difference between mortgage and daycare for us, although they are still our 2 biggest expenses.

   Lord help me, we cannot move to NYC. DH can just go by himself if they want him to move so bad there. I know I've been spoiled by my daycare provider, so that doesn't help.

    Ours are now almost equal (if we were sending them full-time), and that's with 2 kids in daycare.
