   Sorry, that was a typo. Would you be able to use a passport? If you plan on getting one before 2014, I wouldn't spend the extra $10 on the Real ID license.

   apparently I'm a moron bc I've never even heard anything about this :-P haha And when I went for my new driviers license with the name change a few weeks ago they didn't even mention the option of a Real ID If in 2014 it becomes necessary to do things- then I'll spring for the extra 10 bucks and get one

   As of Jan 1 2010, Maryland began issuing REAL ID compliant driver's licenses. You didn't get a choice. In fact, I didn't even know I had a REAL ID compliant card until I looked it up on the MVA website.
