Ok the FI is a pale like Northern Europe, hey is that the artic circle, pale. He has decided he wants to be tanned for the wedding. He doesn't want to do a spray tan, so what tanning salons would you guys recommend? Also, approxiamately how long does it take to get a good tan? Nothing George Hamiltonesque just a little…

I am practically translucent. Spray Tan was a disaster,real tanning beds dried my skin out, airbrush tan is the way to go! I did one session at Fit To Be Tan in Arlington two days before the wedding and looked sun kissed. I highly recommend.

I don't tan anymore, so I can't recommend any salons, but... your FI should be really careful using a tanning bed. I am quite dark complected and very rarely, if ever, burn in the sun, but get roasted fairly easily in the tanning bed. I would recommend that he probably just needs a few (2-3) sessions for about 10 min each…

Palm Beach Tan is good but they also want a contract and monthly payments automatically. I signed up (they have a lot of discount coupons) then cancelled after a couple of months when I had the color I needed. Cancelling was easy and hassle free. I have a really fair complexion and burn easily. I don't tan in the sun but…

I used Tandulgence in Sterling. There's also one in Ashburn. I already had a base tan(ish) from the summer, otherwise I know I would have burned right away. I started at 7 minutes, WITH my base tan, so I'd suggest he start at like 3 minutes if he has no base. Then increase 1 minute each time (or every 2 times). I only went…

I use to go to Palm Beach Tan. They have multiple levels of beds, some better to help prevent burning. What about getting an airbrush tan? I have heard really positive things.

Yeah I am a little concerned about the safety of tanning beds. And he burns so easily I'm afraid he'll turn into a lobster.

I second Fit to Be Tan! I just did my trial there over the weekend and LOVED it. Apparently their airbrush solution causes a reaction similar to how your skin reacts to the sun so you will not turn out orange. I'm not blotchy or streaky at all- it looks really natural. Good luck!
