What to wear!

Help!  I am a 40 "something" bride to be and will be getting married for the second time.  I really don't want to wear white or ivory and it definitely won't be a "traditional first time bridal gown".  What color would be acceptable?  We are getting married around 4th of July in 2016, so I don't want this to look like a 4th of July party.  I am thinking of royal blue for a color.  Would a champagne color dress be ok or would silver be more appropriate?  Or...better yet.... any other ideas for a dress color?

I would choose a color that you like, and that looks good on you.  You really can choose anything you want, including white or ivory.

Any color would be acceptable.  Pick a color you love and feel great in.

Absolutely any color is the perfect color for a wedding dress. Wear what you love and makes you feel beautiful. I think royal blue is a stunning color and one of my favorites. But if you'd prefer champagne or silver, those can be really beautiful too. I would probably avoid wearing a red, white, and blue dress, but that's just me!

Somebody on here had a royal blue gown that I was completely knocked out by. Just frikking gorgeous. And I'm not typically a blue person. Who was that?
