I used to frequent another message board a few years back, and there was this big group of middle-aged women who were absolutely in looooooooove with Clay Aiken. Like, they all had him as their avatars and sig pics with stupid MS Paint hearts and phrases all over them. And then Clay Aiken came out of the closet and those women basically disappeared off the face of the earth. It was like one day they were there annoying the piss out of everyone, and the next day....nothing.
