I really need to go find some summery maternity stuff. I'm worried no one will have anything yet. I thought I'd be able to wear my normal clothes next weekend in Tampa, but all of my shirts are a little too short/tight now. BUT I got a real bump over the week, so it's kind of exciting.

Im up, I have a hair appointment at 10. I am sorta pissy though. I weighed myself this morning and I am up a pound. I work out and I dont lose weight, I dont work out (didnt this week to see what would happen) and I gain. Wtf is wrong with my fucking body? I have a doctors appointment on Monday and I am going to push to see a specialist but I am anticipating being made to feel like shiit cause im over weight *sigh*

Blah! I am trying to get in a good mood cause I dont wanna be all grumpy today. I just need some music and then I will be good to go.

the speakers on my mac are starting to go, i really want to get a new one. I find when there is "low parts"  in music, it sounds all muffly and weird. Would help if I didnt crank the music all the time but whatever. Im sure I could buy new speakers but id rather just buy one of those honking window sized imacs.

My speakers on my macbook have never been that great for music. They're fine if I'm just catching up on tv or whatever, though.

I listen to music a lot on my computer, not at all on my laptop (thats my tv watching computer, as sad as it is), in the car and all day at work. Even when I am in the kitchen I have music on.

Morning ladies! I've been up for a little bit, but it is cold and rainy so I refused to get out of bed. We got 3 numbers on the mega millions and one big number on another ticket, so we won a whopping $10. I was in a work pool and am not really sure how that did, but I left my numbers on my desk at work and we are off for spring break next week. If I am the only one that shows up on the 9th, I guess I will know then. No big plans for today other than being lazy, but we are going to SIL's tomorrow for dinner.

Edie, I was hesitant about Lion on the Mac, but I haven't really had any issues with it.  I use it mostly for work and school stuff, though, so nothing too complicated.

I'll never buy another PC.

I'm awake. It's almost 830 here and I've been up all damn night. It's looking pretty dismal right now but it's supposed to clear up and be sunny so H and I are taking my sister and her kids to a family event thing down at a local meeting place (I'm not sure how else to describe it...google The Forks, Winnipeg for more info - it used to be a fur trading hub, now it's just kind of "the place people go").

I don't think I'd ever buy anything other than a PC for a desktop, but I'd never want anything other than a macbook for a laptop. Weird.

Nebb, I'm the same way. I *always* have on background music. When they replaced my work computer, I made them promise they'd give me Pandora again.

My Macbook speakers are blown.  They crackle and do the low muffly thing.  BUT my Macbook is 10 years old.  So if that's my major problem, I'm totally ok with it.

Morning!  I thought it was supposed to be sunny today, and I'm totally confused why it's not.  I slept for almost 10 hours, and it was glorious and necessary.  Today we're having the carpets cleaned at the new house, getting my oil changed, and going furniture shopping.  Whoooooo.

Silly story:
When we first got vin, we also had a cat and she liked to open cupboards and then sit inside them. One day I noticed some cupboards open and without thinking I shut them, then I took the dog out and when I got in I realized I couldnt find the cat. I looked in every room, under the bed, in the closets, behind the sofa and couldnt find her anywhere. I immediately started freaking out thinking she got outside so I grabbed a thing of her treats (if you shook it she would come running) and was running around my neighborhood bawling my eyes out whistling (she would come if you whistled) and I couldnt find her anywhere. I even enlisted neighbors to keep an eye out for her. Adam was at his families house an hour away so I called him freaking out telling him to come home immediately (which his parents resented me for because they thought I just didnt want him there) and I was pretty much convinced the cat ran away because we got a dog and she was mad.

The cat was in the cupboard.

Morning ladies. I'm sort of awake. Not much going on today, I'm just waiting for the sun to move into my backyard so I can go out there and read and float around in the pool. I need to go grocery shopping later, then I'm meeting friends for drinks later tonight. I haven't seen them in almost a year so it'll be nice to catch up.

I read that there were only 3 winning mega millions tickets sold, but no one has come forth as a winner yet. I saw the winning numbers, and am kinda glad I didn't waste my money on a ticket. I wouldn't have chosen those numbers anyway.

Nebb, you've probably already thought of this but have you had your thyroid checked?  I'm very much the same as you describe, possibly more extreme because I can put on weight overnight.  Took a while but thyroid meds have been adjusted and I seem (knock wood) like I've stabilized.

Morning! My coffee is just being made. My brother wrote me something on facebook last night that he missed it by one number. Now, that sucks, but obviously you either win 10K or 250K based on getting 5 of the 6 numbers. So now I am super curious what he got and just texted him about it.

I think I heard the weather guy say yesterday- if it is cloudy today it would only do into the 60s, if the sun comes out it will be in the 70s. I hope it clears up.

ETA: Aaaand he was joking. I hate people sometimes.

The last two times I had bloodwork done my doctor said it was fine, but I dont know if it was high but just not high enough for him to consider it so I am pushing to see a specialist. My doctor is notorious for just acting like im a lying fatso when I insist I eat well and work out.

Did they only test your TSH?  Ask to have your T3, T4, free T3 and free T4 tested too.  You can be hypo with "normal" TSH levels.

Morning. I didn't go to bed until close to 3am so I'm feeling groggy. I have so much editing and reading to do. 4 papers left to grade, finish editing a book, then edit my book so I can start formatting it. I've also decided to re-release my very first book ever so I have to go through that one too (not today).

It's rainy today. I love the rain, especially when it forces H to stay home. And nebb, your sig is making me cravy a greasy cheeseburger so bad.

Yes Nebb, push to see an endocrinologist.  You want someone who is not so much number focused as symptom focused.  J is absolutely correct.  Good luck with the doc.

I just got back from my hair appointment and my hair dresser gives the BEST head massages EVER. Like, for real, ever. I sorta wonder what she thinks when shes giving someone head massages cause quite frankly it felt like sex for my scalp.

IDK about normal, but both of mine open cabinets all the time.  They have one that I made a little bed in, because she always goes and hides in there when people come over. It's her safe zone.  :)  My other cat opens cabinets because he's nosy and gets into everything.  He also enjoys knocking over garbage cans (especially in our office, where it's all paper) and then chasing it around the room, partying like he's a rock star.  And it's always in the middle of the night.  He's so weird.

Hi Jackie!  How's life treating you?

I'm sitting here warming my shaved cat (the one in the avatar).  I look at him and want to knit him sweater.  He's got the lion cut so he really looks like a cartoon version of himself.  Poor lil guy.

I was so looking forward to my hair appt today.  Trying to grow it out but stuck in the awkward phase, so my good friend suggested an S-wave (or S-perm) while growing out.  Psyched myself up for it but she's sick, so now I have a week to think it over and maybe back out.  Nope, will NOT back out.

Going to some sports pub to watch the basketball thing tonight.
