Ive gotten one comment about the length, from my Aunt, who was Catholic at one point and was married in a Nuptial Mass! (though she's since left the Church and gotten divorced.) I've been to weddings in a lot of different churches, and the super short ones are just lacking something.  It seems like a rush to get through it just to get to the party at the end, but the wedding itself should be the most important part!

If people continue to ask about our ceremony length, I could always tell them to be glad  we're Catholic...FI's best friend is getting married in December--in a Hindu wedding.  FI has been told to expect a three hour ceremony! (Neither of us has ever been to a Hindu wedding before, so I am not sure what the ceremony involves or if this is typical or not.)
