Any October 2012 Brides?

i too am getting married 10/20/2012 haha. we've been engaged since february but we just looked at our first venue last month and we loved it. we finally decided on it over the weekend and booked it today. we're just working on some random details at the moment... we have our menu picked out and a rough guest list and an idea for centerpieces and colors. i'm also starting to look at dresses. people act like we're crazy to have such a long engagement but it's nice to not have to rush things. plus if we did it in 2011 i'd just be starting grad school and we will have recently moved so 2012 makes way more sense.

My fiance and I just got engaged on October 27 of this year. Which also happens to be my birthday. I am 23 and he is 26. His birthday is also in October. We are planning our wedding for the same day as we got engaged, but are waiting 2 years so we can save as much money as possible! We both LOVE the fall and what better month than October?! I worked as a Matre'd at a country club for 5 years, running weddings and other events. So I have seen my fair share of weddings (600+) which means I know EXACTLY what I want mine to be like.

I have many things written down and planned out. We pretty much have all the details of everything, now all we need to do is put them into action! But we have 2 years so my fiance keeps telling me to relax and enjoy the engagement lol. I love using this site, it's very helpful!

I have always wanted my wedding to be on Oct. 31st since I was a young girl..but in order to have 2 years to plan it, it wouldn't fall on a weekend <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif" border="0" alt="Frown" title="Frown" /> I was a little bummed when I realized I would have to give that dream up, but I will still incorporate a lot of the black and 'spooky' theme.
