Cheaper Make Up Suggestions

Hi Girls!

I am 42 days away from the big day and I am debating what to do with make up.  I have been to Clinique 2 times and bought stuff, but the woman who was doing it is not available on my wedding day.  I do not want to end up doing my own make up, but I do not think I want to pay 100-200 dollars for someone to come to me...

What is everyone else doing?  I want my make up to look natural but also show up in pictures.  I do not want false eyelashes, mine are very long.

Thanks!!

Hayley

Do you know anyone who's not a professional make-up artist but knows a lot about make-up application or has just always had a knack for it?  Since you already have the supplies, if you have someone who knows what they are doing, even if not professionally, then you should be set.  Or could you test out someone else at a Clinique counter?  You still have time, so maybe you'll be able to find someone else who is just as good and available.  Take your receipt to verify the recent purchase and explain the situation - you never know how they'll respond.  GL!

I'm having my hairdresser do mine with my hair for the day of the wedding--is something similiar an option for you?

If not your hairdresser, do they have a makeup person on staff or another multi-talented hairdresser?

I chose to do mine because I never liked the way my makeup looked when I had it professionally done. A few weeks before the wedding, I went to clinique and had them show me how to achieve the look I wanted. With the help of a BM, I did it myself! I have to say that I loved my makeup the day of and still felt like I looked like myself.

I went to MAC (at the recommendation of my friend) to have them do my make-up.  I have a friend who is just naturally good at make-up.  I had her go with me so that she could see what I liked and learn from the MAC person.  Can you have a friend go with you to Clinique to the person you like and have them just watch her do your make-up?  Then they can do it on your wedding day.  It is making my friend (who isn't a BM or anything) feel very involved and she is very excited!

I think I will use my own makeup- I need to ask my BM's to play around with my make up to see if we can get "the look".  I just want the makeup to look good for the camera too! :)  But does anyone know of a makeup artist in the Monroeville Area?
