Slow Venue

Hello Everyone! I'm just curious if this is a norm for Venues. Friday Oct 25 I viewed the Venue and was told I could only use the caterer there but I had to contact them. Saturday I sent an email on thier costs. I didn't hear back and called the caterer on Monday evening, they said to send another email. I did asap. I didn't hear back so I called the venue on Wed and told them I didn't hear back. I got a call from the caterer right away and they sent my estimate - it was good - I called venue and said I want to have my cer/rec there. They said they will send a contract via email. I didn't get anything by Friday and I sent them an email asking where it was they said they would send it that evening or early next week. I still haven't seen anything or heard anything.

Sorry - my question is - is it normal to take this long? I have all my other stuff on hold waiting on the contract so I know there is no backing out on either end.

  • It's been a week.  Chill a bit.  There are other brides and events and people also have life responsibilities.  Call today, but I wouldn't say they are being slow.
  • Thank you for answering, I used to work in catering and we were speedy. Plus it doesn't help my current job is high pressure answers now environment. :) I just wanted to make sure this was a norm.
