I'm genuinely curious as to how you go about choosing which letters to capitalize and which letters to leave lowercase.

I don't consider it bullying to tell someone their English or grammar is poor. Your previous posts have been extremely hard to understand due to the lack of punctuation and poor spelling. People have been trying to understand you in order to supply you with advice. Sorry if this comes across as harsh as I am just being honest. I have not seen anyone be 'nasty' toward you.

@swazzle I am also curious.

Plus what kind of smart phone are you typing from?

Yeah its not a matter of punctuation, I am not a grammar stickler. But I actually didn't know what you were saying in your post about a church. You still got some good advice, but you are going to get better advice if people are able to understand the details of what you are posting.

Text is the only medium we can use here. Thus, it is important to spell correctly and to use proper capitalization and punctuation because otherwise it is extremely hard for anyone to understand you. No one can help you if they can't tell what you're saying. No one called you a horrible person for it, which would be more like bullying. They just asked you to communicate more clearly.

Posting from your phone is not an excuse. I do it all the time and I'm always able to use correct grammar and punctuation. You may be a nurse - that's great - but when you post the way you do, you come off as uneducated.

Oh good grief.  People don't comment on poor grammar and spelling to be mean.  People point it out to facilitate communication.

It's really hard to read posts when there are a ton of grammar and/or spelling mistakes.  If it's hard to read a post, it makes it even more difficult to provide good advice.

Clearly whatever system from which you allegedly acquired your degree from does not, in fact, teach English.

I say 'allegedly' because I think you're lying; no one can have the level of education your purport to have and write as badly as you do.

Assuming, arguendo, that you DO have such a degree, how do you not kill people with your bad grammar? I mean, the way you write makes what you write nearly impossible to understand, so I imagine there are lots of medical mistakes when you're working.

I think it's a little hypocritical to call us all nasty and judgmental and then tell US to be nicer. Or is that irony?

Also, please clarify your credentials. Is your bachelor's in nursing? Or do you have an Associate's degree, which qualifies you for the RN designation and then a Bachelor's in psychology?

And while a highly respect nurses and all they do, because they do a very skilled and necessary job, I think pronouncing yourself the Saver of Lives to be a little grandiose. I'm a criminal defense attorney, but I don't go around telling people that i am better than them because I "save people's freedom" everyday.

What WOULD William Shakespeare say? I honestly have no idea and I'm very curious. 

Also, I think you should do a little research on what bullying actually is. Along side that, I think you should read "The boy who cried wolf" (since it sounds like you appreciate literature).  Crying "bullying" when there in fact is no bullying is unproductive and sad. It diminishes and downplays those who actually experience real bullying and hurts their case when they say they're truly being bullied.

I have to say, I do think bullying is an issue in this day and age. However, I did read a blog that basically said people are oversensitive about it and in the blogger's day, bullying meant pulling hair, giving wedgies, and constant pressure --- none of this "I'm getting bullied because someone corrected my grammar/made fun of my glasses/[insert ridiculous act here]."

The blogger had a point.

Posting from your phone is not an excuse.  I post from my iPhone frequently, and I still have correct grammar and punctuation.  

I simply requested that you add punctuation so I would be able to read your post more clearly and respond.  

I am not a bully.  I never made fun of you or said that you were a bad person because you didn't use punctuation.  I asked that you use punctuation because I was trying to help you get more and better answers to your questions.

@T,Hankins Here is an example of how punctuation changes the meaning of a sentence. No one is trying to 'hurt your feelings' or 'bully' you.

Do you ever scroll through Facebook and read the posts of people you you met while in college? 

Many of my friends, who I know for a fact have bachelors and masters degrees, use poor grammar on social media - which I would liken to this forum. 

I'm not saying we shouldn't all practice proper grammar, but I do believe the OP when she says she has a degree. 

This seems boarder line personal attack - especially suggesting she is killing patients. Have you seen how most doctors write?

Here's the thing, being bullied implies you cannot escape your "attackers." Children in school can be bullied because they can't just leave the lunchroom or hop off the bus mid-drive. You, a grown woman, are chosing to come onto a public forum and post questions- no one is making you be here. No one is stopping you from turning off the computer and going about your day. The overuse of the word "bullying" has led to everyone thinking they can pull the victim card when, in reality, you're just partaking in the world wide web and all that comes with it.

Think you're being bullied? Leave. Go save some lives and sh*t.
