AFFORDABLE cake recommendations anyone?

Looking for any cake recommendations that are in the $600-$700 range. We have approx. 250 guests and the cake is the least of our concerns as far as splurges go. Thanks!!

Giant Eagle! I don't know the exact pricing, but my friend's sister got her cake from there. They did a small 3 tier cake and then had sheet cakes in the back.

The Shop and Save in Bridgeville. Honestly, delicious cake, very friendly service. I think we were quoted 350 for a wedding cake for 200, plus the grooms cake. 

We ended up going with Signature desserts (it was under 600... my FMIL use to be a baker... liked their buttercream a little better). And its a dessert buffett.. we get the wedding cake that feeds around 100, and then nine other cake/pie options so guests get to choose... will go great with our cookie table!

Potomac Bakery in Dormont.. Excellent cakes and great price! For 180 servings they wanted $450 and that was with delivery included!

I have also heard that Potomac Bakery is very reasonable.

The cake is not a spluge item for us either so we are having a "fake" 3 tier cake that we will cut from the center, which will be the only real cake part and then having sheet cakes, probably from Giant Eagle that we will serve to our guests.

we are getting our cake from grandmas country oven bake shoppe in harrison city. its under 400 to feed 150 people- delivery and all that good stuff included. if you want their number and stuff i can send it to you

I am not suer what area of town you are from, but we are getting ours from a lady in verona. She makes wedding cakes out of her home.  She does wonderful work.  We got a 3 tier cake, a full sheet cake and 4 dozen cupcakes all fro $320.  This is to feed 225 people.  I was like you, wasn't too worried about the cake, but now we are super excited to see the final product!  Please let me know if you are interested and I can get you are telephone number.

Definitley contact Cake Shotts on Facebook.  She is out of Smicksburg so you might need to pick it up but she does AWESOME WORK and she is cheap!!

Jeff Pastor's Special Order Bakery in Greensburg.  He did my shower and he is doing my wedding and grooms cake.  He is very passionate about his cakes.  He has been wonderful to work with and is reasonable.  I have many friends that use him for special occasions and birthdays. I've not heard of anything negative about him.
