My fiancé and I decided to do a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. My question has anyone else gotten married there? If so what who did you use for the video/photo's? Did you bring someone in? What's the proper way to go about this?

    If you bring someone in, it's obviously going to cost a lot of money for airfare and hotel for the photographer.  Are you getting married at a hotel?  If so, do they have recommendations?  

    Try posting this on the Destination Weddings board.  They may be able to better guide you.

    I would suggest that you find someone local to you, and bring them with you.  That way you can build a relationship with that person before the big day, and they can do your engagement photos.  I think it would be a bit terrifying to have never met your photographer until the morning of your wedding.  Lots of those hotels have a ton of photographers, so you'll never really know who you're getting.  AHH.  I bet you can find a local photographer who would jump at the chance to come with you, and document your day.
