We got married November
2nd and it was wonderful!
Here are my Rochester, NY vendor reviews. Hope it helps someone!
Eagle Vale Golf Club –
Eagle Vale was the perfect venue! Karen
and the rest of the staff was wonderful to work with throughout the entire
process. They worked with us on a few
things that we wanted to do that were a little out of the norm (I surprised my
husband by renting a pool table for the reception). The food was excellent. People are still commenting to us about the
food and it was a week ago. We just wish
we hadn’t been so preoccupied with socialized and had eaten more of the appetizers. Also, even though the ballroom is large and
can accommodate a few hundred people, it was perfect for our 100 guests. The layout never made it feel too big, but
actually gave it a nice flow for those who wanted to dance, sit and chat, hang
out around the bar, and/or play pool. I
would definitely recommend Eagle Vale!
Magic Moments
Photography – They were great to work with!
While we haven’t received our pictures yet, we liked out engagement
photos Amy did. Both her and Emily were
great during our wedding day too! The
pictures they did show us on their camera’s looked great. They were willing to spend plenty of time in
the rain so we could get some really cool shots. Also, they stayed as long as we wanted them
to and got a lot of great party shots.
We had a comfort level with them the entire time, which was very important
to us.
Moonlight Creamery –
Instead of cake for desert we had ice cream sundaes and cookies. Moonlight Creamery’s ice cream and servers
were great! The ice cream was a hit and
it was a pleasure working with Heidi and Mikey at Moonlight to select our
menu. We also did small ice cream
tastings during cocktail hour, ice cream and flavored olive oil or
vinegar. When these options were first
suggested we were hesitant to even try them, but they were great! I think Mikey and Greg even got everyone to
try some!
Watlack Billiards – Ed was
wonderful to work with! He was so
excited to do a wedding and even had a surprise for me (Stacey & Mark “The
Perfect Match” was embroidered on the edge of the felt). My husband was very surprised and excited to
have a pool table at our reception. It
was by the bar and dance floor, so we were we always near each other even if we
weren’t playing a game together. Ed had
tons of colors of felt for me to choose from so the table would match our
wedding colors. If we are ever in the
market to buy a pool table, he’s the first person I’ll contact!
DJ Faymous – Neil Fay
was great! We told him the type of music
we wanted for different parts of the night and he did a great job picking the
songs. We got a bunch of compliments on
the music and he got a lot of people on the dance floor. It was also great to see that your DJ is
truly enjoying what he does. Neil’s love
of music and making sure everyone has a great time really shows through.
Kittelberger’s – My bouquet
and my husband’s boutonniere looked great and were just what we wanted.
Etna Italian Pastry
Shop – We got a few trays of pizzelles to go with the ice cream and they were
great.
Jackie O Salon – I got
my makeup done by Michelle and she was wonderful to work with! She understood my concerns about my skin and
the makeup. She also didn’t let me leave
until I was happy and requested photos after.
Hampton Inn Webster –
We had our room block here and also stayed ourselves after the reception. They were very helpful and accommodating with
the shuttles to and from Eagle Vale.
Also, their continental breakfast in the morning was much more than we
expected. Emilie was a pleasure to work
with setting everything up. They handled
our welcome bags for our guests and everyone was very happy with their stay.
Good luck everyone!
