Wedding Invitations & Paper

What enclosures do we need?

The invitations we are probably ordering from Etsy come only with the invitation & RSVP, plus corresponding envelopes. I am trying to figure out if we need to purchase an additional enclosure.

Our ceremony is at the same place as the reception. So is it 100% fine to put "reception immediately following" on the invitation? Or is it better to have an enclosure for it?

We are blocking a hotel and they will give us cards with the info so we do not need to make our own enclosure for this.

I am totally comfortable skipping the map/ directions.

So: do we need any enclosures?

Re: What enclosures do we need?

  • It sounds like you don't if everything is in the same place and people are familiar with it.

  • If your ceremony & reception are at the same location, then just put "reception immediately following"-reception cards are used in the event that you need a separate address printed.

We made a small enclosure card with our wedding website for additional information on directions & hotels. On the back we printed info about our morning after breakfast.

BUT in reality, you don't need anything additional, even if you do have a wedding website. You can just spread that info via word of mouth. If you do want a small enclosure cards, you can print business cards yourself, or order them from Vista Print for really cheap.
