Shoe troubles!

Ok ladies....I HATE heels!  Do you think it is too informal to wear flats as the bride? 

My other thought was to get a heel for the ceremony and then switch to flats, but then if my dress is hemmed to match my height with the heel, it will drag all reception.  Any thoughts?

I can't wear high heels either. My shoes only had 2 inch heels and were super comfy. I made sure to break them in plenty before the wedding. I also had a pair of flip flops in case I wanted to change into them, but I never needed to. Since the heels weren't that high, it wasn't hard to find flip flops around the same height. Here are the shoes I wore:

Wear what you are comfortable in! Go for flats if that's what you want!

You can find some really cute flats; if your dress is long, not many people will see them anyway, I'd go for it!

I wore ivory flats from Dessy Group and it literally felt like I wasn't wearing shoes. At the reception, I changed into a second dress and heels.

I've seen some really cute flats and if I were a little taller, I'd go for it for comfort sake.  I just don't want everyone towering over me.  I don't think many people will see the shoes...think about the weddings you've been to - remember the bride's shoes?  Go with what you feel comfortable in and like!

Thanks girls!  I may just go with the flats.  I wanted something in color, and it is hard to find low heels in pink! Most of them are taller than I would like.

Just an FYI, the David's pair I posted are dyeable. Go with whatever you're most comfortable in though! Assuming you have a long dress, no one will see them anyway unless you're sitting or you pick up your dress a bit. I would have loved to wear flats, but wanted a little bit of height since I'm only 5'1".
