Song idea - Need your opinion!

I absolutely love Vienna Teng's "Lullaby for a Stormy Night". I've never known anyone to use it in a wedding, but my mom and I love it and think it could be the perfect song for the prelude as the guests take their seats for the ceremony, and as our own special "mother/daughter" tribute. It's a song that can be interpreted in different ways. We interpret it as "daughter you're leaving me to make a life of your own. There will be bad days but the morning will come, a new day will dawn and everything will be okay again". What are your thoughts on using this song as the prelude? I love it! I just want to be sure that it is a song that is fitting.

Thank you!!!

I think it's not really used because it can be interpreted in so many ways. I think if you had it as a prelude (without words) then that's fine. In my opinion, I would have it as a tribute for you and your mom (that's fine) but as a song you listen to when you miss your mom or something. I personally wouldn't do more than that with it. It is not a bad song though - just probably not the best for a wedding.
