Mint Bridesmaid Dresses?!?!

I feel like I have been searching forever and having zero luck! My wedding colors are mint and lavender and I want the bridesmaids to wear mint dresses as they will be carrying lavender. I'm desperately trying to find one dress that will work (empire waist to flatter everyone and has straps so the bustier girls can wear their supportive bras) but apparently mint is not a common color this year! I've checked all the local stores including David's Bridal (meadow was the closest and it wasn't quite right). Any suggestions?? I'd be open to doing different styles if I could find one place that offers the color! Jim Hjelm carries a color I love (pic below) but the dresses are either way too short or long - I'm having a May wedding and the bridal party is slightly more casual looking so long is out. And too short is bad for a couple of the girls.

I'd give up the idea of everyone wearing the same dress because different cuts will flatter different girls. Mint to me is a spring/summer color - how set are you on mint green, or would any light green/pale green dress work? That might be easier to find.

Also, dresses are usually shorter on the models because they're so tall, so keep that in mind.

My sister is probably my biggest "problem" as she is both tall and boxy so not a lot looks great on her dress-wise. but even holding some up to myself in the store they are really short. There are some cuts that look good on all different types of women but finding those in particular in the color is becoming a pain. And I've looked into different shades but nothing really works with everything else we're doing. I would have thought, considering how long in advance they say to order bridesmaid dresses, that finding a spring/summer color wouldn't be that difficult.

I used Ann Taylor and and let my BMs pick whatever style in the same color/length/fabric. The length was perfect - right at the knee. I did silk georgette because we were getting married outside in the summer. The dresses were really flattering, the fit was perfect and only one of my BMs got her dress altered. It wasn't even altered for fit - she wanted it in a tank versus X-back. Check out the color "Misty":

David's Bridal now has a mint color. It's called mint. There's also a color called spa that looks like a mint. These are brand new colors of the new season so they probably didn't have them when you went and looked.

My BM are wearing this dress is Dark Blue, but it also comes in Powder (may be a little too blue vice mint for you, but I think it's a really pretty color). BHLDN (Anthropologies Bridal line) has a lot of other dresses in that color too.

I love this dress b/c it's so flattering on everyone. And it orders a little long. I have a 5'10" BM that needs that. They will be hemmed to just above the knee.

Do you love the style of any of the longer dresses? If so, couldn't they just be hemmed to whatever length you're looking for? Not sure if that would be cost prohibitive, but if it's not, it's always something to consider!

I found an etsy designer out of Cali who has some that are close to what I'm looking for and she's willing to customize anything so I think thats what we'll end up going with - pretty affordable too! Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!

I am also having a mint wedding but our accent colors are peach and gold. I found mint bridesmaid dresses all over www.etsy.com!

I am having a really hard time finding mint dresses as well, my colors are mint and pink.  I have found the ones on etsy, but I would love to find something that we can actually go in and try on.  Any other ideas??

I think it's funny that people think empire waists are flattering to everyone. They work beautifully on many girls, but I feel terrible in them. They usually make me feel like I look pregnant, and they make my stomach look like it pokes out. I did wear an empire waist dress in a wedding once, but it tied in the back. I was able to make myself look decent, but it's still not my favorite cut.

Here is a mint dress with empire waist. The flower is removable. It has straps so the bustier girls can easily wear a regular bra under it. Nice & flowy for a spring wedding. I personally think the price is pretty good too.

It looks great on all the girls. The color is a little more blue than I originally wanted but all of my girls wanted to be able to try something on rather than order it online. In the end it worked out though!
