We flew home last night, Monday evening after Tday travel was a breeze, yay. We were held up by the weather back east on our flight out, so last night was nice.
While in Vegas, we visited the local distillery. They've only been going for 3-4 years and officially legal the last year (only because outside of Vegas, Nevada is really, really conservative.) While there we bought 2 bottles of booze, an apple flavored moonshine and a vodka for DH for Christmas.
To get them home, I put one each into my boots and packed clothes around them, dead middle of my suitcase. Nice and squishy all around to protect them.
We land, picked up our bags and noted the top of mine was wet. In the car we noted it smelled very vodka like. My husband was tray sad.
Got home and our booze was fine. Made it home intact, nary a drop spilled. Some other poor sap had their booze leak out and it just happened to hit my suit case. DH is happy, Christmas is saved, I am a hero for my booze packing skills.
