Wedding Invitations & Paper

Postcard advice

Hi, I'm sending out Christmas themed STD's and I'm looking for advice from anyone who sent STD postcards. Did you use a website like zazzle for the design and printing or did you order a templete through Etsy and then have an office max print it? I'm trying to determine what's most cost effective. I appreciate the advice! thanks

Re: Postcard advice

  • I ordered from Etsy and printed at Staples. It was a giant PITA - my Staples could not figure out how to print double sided cards. They finally did figure it out but I had to go a couple times. Maybe just my Staples, who knows.

However, the PDF was $10 from Etsy and the printing was only about $60 (they fit 2 postcards per page) so it was definitely economical.

I ordered our STDs and invitations from Vistaprint. We were 100% completely happy with the process.

Ditto. And they are running a sale, 100 postcards for $10! Just ordered my xmas postcards, we send postcards instead of real cards to save money.

I third Vistaprint- they usually have great sales.  We ordered our save the dates (postcard style but we're mailing them in envelopes) and a bunch of other things from them and I've been happy with all of it.

I found a typo (that I made) on the menu cards I ordered from them, and e-mailed to ask if I could re-order them at the sale price.  They had me re-make the cards and are rush shipping them to me for free- even though it was my error.  Great customer service!

  • We sent postcard STDs and used wedding paper divas. They were really nice. The only thing I would have done differently is to put return address labels on them. I ended up finding out that some didn't get delivered and, obviously, didn't get returned to us so we had no way of knowing who got one and who didn't.

  • We bought Avery postcard paper and designed and printed them ourselves at home. I think it was only like $20 for the paper so pretty cost effective.
  • I am going to check out Vistaprint. Thanks for all the advice!
