XP: Too different of tuxedos?

My fiancé has a tuxedo with tails (it comes with a top hat and cane which will be used for pictures and things - not the ceremony itself) but the Best Man and Groomsmen do NOT have a tuxedo with tails. They have the typical black 2 button notch tuxedo with a long tie (not bow tie)....

Do you think that will look weird? Should they be in tuxedos with tails too?

  • I think it would be fine. Actually might be kinda cool he will stick out(in a good way) and and people will he is special.

Girls do diff types of dress but same color so i think its cool.

If our wedding was more formal i know my FI would love tails a cane and top hat.

Its your bug day rock it.
  • I'd say that's fine.

    Thanks!

I did that with the girls' dresses. I told them the color and length and they picked their style.

  • I think it'll look just fine. If it was one of the groomsmen with the different tux, that might be a little weird, but I think it's pretty cool to have the groom dressed differently.

  • I guess I am having a little trouble picturing what it would look like in my mind

If you're having trouble visualising, can you maybe have the guys get dressed in their tuxes so you can see it all together? Or send you pictures and place them next to each other? Or something?

  • I think it's fine. Many people do something for the groom to stand out.

The groomsmen are so spread out and the closest is an hour away so I don't think we could until it was too late to change the tuxedos
