Happy Hump Day

GM Ladies!

Whew! its been a crazy past few days at work! Like constant fire drills.. that will probably continue until thursday.. and unfortunately, its not making the week feel faster! Looking forward to Friday sooo much though!

DF has started a new "home improvement" project.. all of our doors and the wall/floor boards (i think thats what they are called .. the things at the bottom of the wall?) are wood and he wants to paint them white. I think its going to take him forever to get finished.. but he set himself (or rather I set him a deadline) of my birthday in May so we'll see!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I'll delete  my other "morning" post so we have 1.

@DP- Hope your weeks calms down.  Our close ends tomorrow.

Good morning ladies!!!  What a crazy week and it is only Wednesday. Long story short…it is quarter end close (working 12 hour days), my windshield wipers quit working on Monday in the middle of the storm and had to have my car towed in and then when I tried to come in to work early today to get ahead, I had to wait for the cops and the tow truck to tow the stupid-head who parked in front of our driveway.   But on the good side, I am thankful that I have a job to be late to, the cop was very nice and funny too! My car will be fixed today and now there are only 2 more days until our Knottie GTG. I hope everyone is having a good week. Talk soon.

Pittsburgh September Siggy - Our honeymoon will be at the Royal Suites Turquesas in P*nta Cana. Super excited!

    Good morning!

Today will be busy as well during close. I should prob spend less time on here but I just can't help myself :-) I love how we accountants are so busy but we still got on here first lol

FI worked late last night and I just laid around and watched TV and basically did nothing all night.

db- I painted all the trim in my old condo (as well as the walls and the ceiling). It felt like a full time job. Painting them white will make your rooms seem bigger and brighter though.
Janice- you have a really short close! We have until Friday and we think thats a short close (6 days).

Good morning everyone.  Is it really only Wednesday?  I went to the gym last night and made a nice dinner.  We are trying to follow up with everyone that hasn't RSVPed yet.  I have a busy today today that includes giving blood.  I hope you all have a great day.

Sarilynn - We are a small manufacturing firm.  We have a 4 day close to report our financials and forecast to corporate.  It is a pretty tight process...nice to have it done and over with.

Amy- Good luck with the tracking.  I am not looking forward to that.

db- yeah trim is annoying because you have to tape everywhere. I don't mind painting, but I hate putting that stupid tape up lol

Janice- Yeah I work for a small publically traded company that is 'affliated' with dental practices around the country. We used to have an 8 day close to report to corporate, then that turned into 7, and now 6. I think they will have to keep it as 6 though since they have added more to our plate as far are what the accounting group is resposible for.

    Morning Ladies!
Last night FI and I went to Men's Warehouse and finally got his suit for the wedding! He ended up with a Jones New York charcoal gray 3 piece suit - it looks really good on him! They were also running a buy one-get one free promotion so he got another plain black suit for free. Here is the suit he got:

then we went to dinner at.... where else but the Cheesecake Factory! lol. Dinner was great, as usual, then we headed back to the apartment to work on the RD invitations.

FI PROMISED he would help me (because I have literally been doing EVERYTHING for this wedding and he hasn't helped me one ounce) but, surprise, surprise - we got home and he fell asleep. I asked him like 12 times to help me and he kept saying 'I will, I will' - so needless to say I ended up doing them all by myself again.

When I was finally done and about to go to bed he finally woke up and said he was ready to help and I told him I did them all and he said 'why would you do that' -- well, FI, I did that because I TOLD YOU I needed to get them out this MORNING and I wasn't going to wait all night for you to get up to help me!!! Ugh I was beyond mad at him... anyway, I got them out this morning so I was happy.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

db - why are you having fire drills?? And YAY for getting your trim and baseboards painted! It's definitely a huge task! GL!

Janice - I'm sorry for your crappy luck the past few days!! Glad things are turning around!

sari - hope your busy day goes by quickly!

amy - GL getting those RSVPs in order and tracking down those who haven't RSVP'd

g - woohoo for RD invites going out! i would be soooo angry with FI too if I were you.. that stinks that he fell asleep and didn't help :( maybe you can get him to help with another upcoming task (escort cards? programs?)  Oh, and the fire drills at work is a saying that we have when things are crazy and things keep coming up unexpectantly that have to be done now.  Also - i heart that suit FI got! what a great deal!

    Good Morning Ladies!

Last night was our second dance class! It is super fun, but we totally know that we won't actually use these moves for our first dance. Too much pressure, and FI counts constantly in his head so he has this intense look and he stares at me to focus, it make even me a little uncomfortable. He needs to loosen up. :) During the class, we had to switch partners which was kind of strange, but useful. I got to see that we're not the worst ones in the room. Before dance, we got dinner at a German restaurant and just headed home after.

So, I am thinking (please don't let anyone from work stumble on this) of calling in sick tomorrow and Friday. I have tons of sick days, but not so many vacation days. I was thinking that tomorrow, FI and I can drive up to PA and get our marriage license and then on Friday, I can head to Pittsburgh earlier. Should I feel horribly guilty? (Don't answer if you think yes, yes I should feel guilty.) :)

I'm hoping i can go to the GTG, but I don't know...  It is hard to pry myself away from my nephews in the evening.

DB- Better FI, than you painting, eh? GL with the project!
Janice- That totally sucks about having to get your car towed and waiting for the other car to tow. Do you live on a super busy street?
Sari- I hear ya, I have been so bad at work lately.
Amy- My RSVP date is rapidly approaching and I have so many RSVPs still left out there.
MD-You need to follow Sari and me and just let work drift away!
G- I still love your affection for the Cheesecake Factory, and am so jealous that with all the delicious food you eat you still look fab. I do not blame you for being mad at FI, I am having a hard time with mine too. I give him projects and he's like, "of course!" but then doesn't do anything, and if I remind him then I'm nagging him to get them done. We just can't win.

db - LOL at the firedrill comment... as you can tell, my brain is definitely somewhere else right now! HA! I've been so all over the place.... Yeah, I was SO mad at him - and this isn't the first time that this has happened. He always tells me he'll help then doesn't. I'm overly stressed right now and he knows that which made me even more mad - oh well, at least it got done!! And I'm super excited about his suit, although I had a lighter stone color all planned out in my mind for he and the GMs, but it's all about compromise right?!? lol...

<div>I think we all have the same FI!  My FI took on calling/booking a DJ... and he did.  After a lot of nagging, and at least 1 month later than he said he would.</div><div>
    </div><div>
</div><div>jl - I so want to do no work!  Trust me, if my graduation didn't depend on it I would work a lot less.  With a trip to pittsburgh this weekend, I'm so tempted to just give myself a very long weekend right now... I might start the weekend tomorrow if things today go well!</div><div>

jl - i agree you should take those sick days! Think of them as mental health days and then its justified (in your head at least!!)
