Food for Reception

I am having a problem with the food. My wedding is June 21, 2014 and we are trying to figure out what types of food to have at the wedding reception. If any one knows, please please help me. Lol

Our cater was running a special when we booked them, we are getting this

But we also thought about a pasta bar, taco/quesadilla/fajita bar, or were from close to cincinnati so we thought about doing chili, spaghetti and hot dogs

Our reception had a package for cocktail hour we get 10 passed H'ors D'oeuvres, 3 stations ( pasta, calamari, and probably some other italian type dish and 4 manned stations ( we are doing a mashed potato bar, carving station, chinese station and fajitas station)

then we have a four course dinner a salad, a pasta table side choice of chicken, prime rib or a fish 

then cake and a viennese table

Thanks everyone for that. That give me a time think and those are some good ideas. Where do you that ticker so i would know how many months, days to .thanks.

Im doing a Southern Theme of food

Fried/Baked Chicken

Mac n Cheese

Peas and Rice

some type of vegetable

Tossed Salad

Potato Salad

Corn Bread

Our Appetizers will include

Mini Chicken n Waffles

Mini Shrimp n Grits 

Fruit and Cheese platters

and a Southern Themed Dessert Bar

@misstira green beans! Green beans and that sounds like the best darn wedding reception food ever. If I wasn't having my reception so early in the afternoon I would probably be doing something similar!

Artemischief My mom said green beans also... I might just have them since its the easiest veggie to make... Sounds like a plan to me, lol!

What types of drinks are u planning on having at ur reception?

White wine and peach sangria, water, lemonade, tea, Dr.Pepper(the only soda my fiancé and I drink)

Close your eyes. What food would you like at your wedding to eat? My parents are footing our reception bill, so I picked one of the meals (chicken cordon bleu, my fav!!) and since both me and FI would eat that, I let them pick the 2nd meal lol! They're doing stuffed salmon with crabmeat. I picked the side options, though they didn't care about those. We did want to do wedding soup or twice baked potato, but it costs more, so passing. Our sides will be: salad, green beans, and scallop potatoes. Wedding cake will be served as dessert. We're also having apps being cookies (homemade and bought from bakers) and a chocolate fountain with strawberries, graham crackers, pretzels and something else I can't think of atm.

We're having an open bar (comes with our package) and sodas and water.

We're also having a top shelf open bar, FI's family likes to drink!
