FI Christmas vent

My FI wants me to paint him something for Christmas, and he confessed the other week that he doesn't think I'll get it done cause I'm a notorious procrastinator. So, I want to prove him wrong and surprise him with the finished painting Christmas morning, but he keeps working from home on my days off!

Can you tell him that you want your days off to you so you can have some "me" time? Ask him to work at the library or coffee shop for a couple hours (if his job is one that allows him to).

No, he has to have access to his home computersince it is connected to his work computer. I might go visit my mom for a bit Friday and sketch out the lines. Tomorrow is a wash due to the weather.

I'm paranoid, but reading your post I immediately thought: he's issued this challenge, he knows/suspects that you're working on something, and is trying to sabotage you by always being around when you're not working.

Seeing as he can't work outside of home or office but you can sketch almost anywhere, why not take yourself off to a library or other quiet place on your next day off?

I might do that on Friday, but last night he was all, oh, since you have off on Friday we could go see the Hobbit.

Darn him for wanting to spend time together and go on dates
