Re: OLW

  • @cask85 yea since our wedding is up here we need to know if we need va liability insurance or not. And fl may not do renters policies anymore due to the hurricanes...state farm doesn't do homeowners in much of Florida (if any) anymore. So we just need some guidance navigating the transition
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
  • Dear Take-Home Final,

Even though you are wonderful in concept (being able to take you multiple times online in order to improve my score), I fucking hate your guts.

    Sincerely,

The pregnant student who just wants the semester to be over with

    Dear FI,

It was really sweet of you to join me during our neighbor's four year old daughter's princess birthday tea party. Thank you for allowing the birthday girl to choose your outfit and for modeling it proudly down the catwalk. I don't know that many guys who can rock a tiara and a hot pink feather boa, but you pulled it off nicely.

    Much Love,

    Me

    Dear Nugget,
In a week or so, I'll finally start calling you by your appropriate name and will have a better "color" concept for decorating the nursery. I love you.

    Dear NEY,

I always enjoy reading your posts. I love how everyone looks out for each other, and how close everyone seems to be in this forum and IRL. Thank you for being awesome.

    Much love,
    Me

  • @bride2b71614 - Take home tests are the worst! It's always like "Yay! I don't have to study!" and then three hours into the test I'm like "Oh God this is impossible!" Good luck with your test! Just power through it!

  • @BethSmiles: Agreed!! Although this test is due Saturday. Her tests are different though. All the questions are online, there is no partial credit (a question that needs six words matched, you match five, you still lose all six) its graded immediately upon submission and you can take it until you get 100%.  I am at a 92.25% on my second try (114 questions). I feel like if I make one more go around (tonight), I am going to probably lose points.
  • Wow that's a weird test! I've never had one like that! What are you going to school for btw?

    Dear undergrad,

Sunday next, I kiss you goodbye! I cannot wait to experience life for a few days... Before grad school apps for the fall.

    Love,
    Old college student
  • @bride2b71614,

    1) Your letter to your FI = super-sweet :)
    2) I love that you call ze bebe "Nugget" - that's the nickname I gave my little brother! Even now that he towers over me, I still call him The Nugget. Can't wait to hear how the nursery decor is going to turn out! *Hint to remember to let the ladies of NEY know!*

I'm guessing you meant me not cask? are you leaving wedding stuff in va? are you having it in a non-traditional venue? if yes and yes, I can see you needing coverage, otherwise your venue's insurance should have you covered. definitely check with the venue.

I lived in florida and getting homeowners ins was a pain in the ass. you will want to talk to a florida-based agent, though. your va agent will not know for sure. if state farm won't cover you, there are state (of florida) policies that will.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • @BethSmiles: I am studying social work. Grueling, but I am so glad that I took the test one more time to get 100. Now I can relax and have fun during the holidays (plus think more about baby stuff without feeling guilty about it dominating all my thoughts).

@Amapola14:  At 8 weeks on the ultrasound FI said, it looks like a chicken nugget! I don't know why he said that, but I couldn't stop laughing, so the child became nugget . I will continue to call it nugget until we have a better understanding of who they are. I am carrying high so everyone is saying that I'm having a son... We shall see. I also promise to keep the NEY community up to date on nursery stuff. Should be fun.

@TwoDimes: He earned a ton of brownie points last night for sitting at the tiny table with all of the little girls (who deemed him princess meow), and he drank pretend tea with them. It was adorable.  I am also kind of jealous that he looked better in a feather boa and tiara combo than I did...but I'm not bitter at all or anything like that.... :P
