Wine is fine any time...

I'm sipping on a glass of Chenin blanc, after being off today and making the mistake of checking my work email. Mistake! Anyway, I thought perhaps this could be a thread for wine lovers. I poured a glass but it can be quite harsh on an empty stomach, so my discovery is that this white wine is a wonderful pairing for white fudge-covered, peanut butter-filled pretzels. Feel free to share what your favorite wines are, what you love to munch on with it, etc. I like a Pinot noir for reds, and enjoying Chenin blanc for white, I'd sort of forgotten how much I loved Chenin blanc, as I can't always find it in smaller liquor stores (we have to go to a liquor store to buy wine in PA).

I'm drinking Malbec at a restaurant bar while I wait for my friend to get here. Not sure what I'll be eating yet but I will try to report back.

I don't like sweet wines but anything else is fair game!

I'm getting ready for a hockey game now (7pm face off, and I'm already set up & ready to go because I've been at the rink since 5pm) but BFF & I will be drinking aaallll the wine when I get to her house later! I actually got a Christmas gift of some Cupcake Cabernet from a co-worker today, so I'm excited to drink that!

I am currently enjoying a few delightful post-nap moments in my bed before I go drink lots of amazing sangria with a friend at our favorite restaurant on Piedmont Park. It will be paired with tater tots covered in cheese, bacon, etc - probably not the most appropriate pairing, but its the restaurant's specialty.

BF's former roommate is a sommelier and he seems to have absorbed much of his knowledge about selecting good, inexpensive wine. It's a great skill to have.

No wine for me tonight. But almost as good! BF and I are about to head out to a local brewery for some beerskies! So excited! So much for my accountability thread but he and I haven't had a date night in awhile.

I love sweet wines. My favorite wine though is a spiced apple wine I get at the PA Renn Faire. 

Since I stick to the sweeter stuff I don't usually have a food I eat with them, other then whatever is for dinner.

I'm drinking a malbec after @beanbot2002 recommended it to me to recommend to my H after he had a wine party at work that I wasn't invited to. I'm not bitter. 

So yea, I'm drinking a malbec. I just finished a bottle of Penfolds Shiraz Cabernet. I love Penfolds.

I recently opened a bottle of bola wine it was a Cabernet it was reallly good. I like sweet wines but if I want to get drunk I go for Cabernet. I was too tired to open a bottle of wine tonight we are already in bed

For all of my Malbec lovers...to take it to another level, drink it while eating sea salt/dark chocolate covered almonds. The best ones are at Trader Joes. HOOOOOOOOOLY MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY. You'll sing my praises later.

Has anyone ever had Ice Wine?? I tried it yesterday for the first time and it was AMAZING. But if you aren't into sweet wines, you probably wouldn't like it.

I didn't drink any wine this weekend, but have somehow accumulated 3 boxes of wines.

My go to is Bully Hill Ravat 51.

I'm completely a sweet wine kind of gal. However I'm slowly warming up to more reds so we'll see how it goes.

@Kait it's a dessert wine. They wait until the first frost to pick the grapes so it completely changes the taste and makes them super sweet. Its the best wine I've had.
