Wedding Reception Forum

lost on centerpiece choices

We are doing an intimate wedding at a vineyard at sunset for the wedding and I am stuck on florals. I will have a lace bateau dress, open back and chapel train. The men will in tuxedos and we are doing a semi-formal attire for the ladies and it has also been requested from the guests. I am at a lose for the reception florals as I want it to stay classic but still unique without going into the vintage/rustic area. Here are the ones I love so far but dont know which to choose to start working with my florist.

I can do: a greenery based low design with white orchids, garden roses in white and peach and green orchids. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/413275703277059403/
Another option is: white ranunculus, roses, hydrangeas, deep purple orchids, peach garden roses and very little greenery. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/413275703276978597/
The final option: peach/yellow combo roses, greenery, berries, lilacs, vivid tulip colors, baby's breath, pink peonies, coral roses, and protea. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/413275703277058979/

  • They're all beautiful! I love the last one especially and I think the berries will go well because it's at a vineyard.

Do you have a picture of your dress? It sounds like exactly what I want!
  • I am having the dress made locally off of the photo from the ines di santo recent runway show

I looked for ages for something like this but never found the perfect one or inspiration until I came across this. I think you should find something similar this season as the neckline seems to be very hot from what i saw on the runways.

  • I prefer the last centerpiece.  Also, I hope that you have tried on the actual dress or a dress the is very similar to make sure that you like that style on you before having a dress made.  A lot of times brides have a vision in their head but once they find and try the dress of their dreams, it doesn't do much for them and they end up falling in love with a completely different dress.

  • I tried on similar ones but they didn't have the sleeves but were strapless so once we looked at adding that piece across I was sold so the salon is custom making me a dress since they design and carry stock.
