once you choose a theme, is it permanent?  can it be modified to add colored details?

    I was wondering about the little tracker I see some knotties have. I don't know if it's in their signatures but it has the count of how many guests you invited, how many said yes, said no and maybes/MIA. Just wondering how I can get that or where do I get that and put it =)
