Jersey Shore?

I just got invited to a Jersey Shore party on Saturday night.  Do people actually watch that show?  Do any of you?

Um - is it wrong if I admit that I do?

If so, I do not. It is gross.

If not - I watch it and crack up.

I saw about 5 minutes of one and had to turn it off.  Some dude punched some girl in the face.  WTH?  Not cool.

I catch it on Hulu when I have down time. It is so ridiculous that I find it hilarious. I would not carve out a set time every week and consider it "must watch tv" however.

Haha - I watched it a few times just because EVERYONE was talking about it (I think it's especially bad here in Philly because the Jersey shore is so close!) It's pretty funny though if you look at it as a huge joke! You should go! It would proably be hilarious to see how everyone dresses and comes with a "blow out" and "poof" hair styles! Too funny!

Ok, so I've never seen it although I've certainly heard/read about it as a pop culture phenomenon, but I had no idea people watched it!  Am I missing out?

I started watching it one night just to see how ridiculous it was and how bad they make NJ look. It is soooo over the top! It's funny to laugh at the guidos because these are the people that we deal with every.single.summer coming down and invading our shores so the concept isn't a new one to people that live in NJ. The thing that gets me is the stupid people out there who really think all New Jerseyans are like that (yes, some people think that).

It seems though like it's the same stuff over and over again....drinking, fighting, tanning. Gets boring after a while.

I always catch my DH watching Jersey Shore, haha. I've actually never watched more than 3 or 4 minutes of it at a time. They are just too ridiculous for me!

You're really not missing out, its just funny to watch how ridiculous these people are (and as kbielak17 said: to see how bad they make the state of NJ look!)!! There really are some LOL moments that are great to catch though!

I have a bump-it too!  Though I 'only' wore it for my wedding.  :)  I've seen the last two episodes.  I love all the fights!  It's so ridiculous.  I wish I was single and going out to the bars so I could use the word, "creeping".

OMG, DH is addicted.  Most of the people on there are from LI, not NJ.  Also, unfortunately, they seriously remind me of the Italians in South Philly.  DH has several cousins who speak and act just like those kids.

I don't think it's causing people to think New Jersey is like those people, because NJ already has that sterotype in many people's heads.  South Jersey is a completely different world from North Jersey.
